‘Dark Souls’ “Artorias” Statue Available For Pre-Order

One of the former Knights of Lord Gwyn, the corrupted Knight Artorias is now a collectible statue from First 4 Figures.

A corrupted boss of the Dark Souls “Artorias of the Abyss” DLC, Sir Artorias was one of the “Four Knights of Lord Gwyn”, and a revered Darkwraith hunter within the Abyss, a shroud of dark magic capable of corrupting all things within; though his Greatsword was corrupted through exposure to the Abyss, Artorias was able to prevent a curse upon himself through the magic of his Wolf Ring. In his last moments in a battle against Manus and the encroaching Abyss, Artorias sacrificed himself to protect his Great Grey Wolf companion Sif. By the time the player finds Artorias within the past version of the Ooclacile Township Colosseum. the “Abysswalker” has fully succumb to the darkness, noted by the dark aura emanating from within his armor.

Collectible manufacturer First 4 Figures recently unveiled their new Dark Souls “Artorias the Abysswalker” premium statue. Standing at 53.5cm/21in. from the tip of his hair to the base, the statue depicts the corrupted Knight Artorias in his entrance cinematic pose, with the Greatsword perched over his shoulder. The base is themed after the Ooclacile Township Colosseum within the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. As with all First 4 collectibles, each Artorias the Abysswalker statue is hand-numbered, and includes a “certificate of authenticity” allowing owners to request the same statue number of the next collectible in the series.

An “Exclusive” version is also available for pre-order, featuring Artorias’s pre-corruption Greatsword, and an exclusive art print. Quantities have not been announced, however this version will be extremely limited.

The Dark Souls Artorias the Abysswalker statue is available to pre-ordered through First 4 Figures for $474.99, with the Exclusive edition listed at $499.99; regardless of the chosen version, a minimum deductible payment of $30 is required. Both versions are expected to begin shipping in Q1 2017.
