The “gaming” cable channel G4 is here to stay, as the proposed Esquire Network will take over another channel.
Earlier this year, it was announced that G4 would no longer serve as the cable-television source of video game news, but as the Esquire Network, targeted towards an upscale male audience, delivering fashion and entertainment news and advice. According to HollywoodReporter, a new deal has been struck, which will keep G4 on the air in its current state; the Esquire Network will still debut on television at some time, but it will take over the women’s lifestyle and entertainment Style channel.
