Grand Theft Auto V set a new day-one record for Take-Two Interactive, selling over $800 million in physical units.
Grand Theft Auto V sold over $800 million in retail units yesterday, making it the highest-selling launch in the GTA series, and Take-Two history; this only accounts for physical copies across PS3 and 360. According to Take-Two, more than 8,300 stores released GTA V Monday at midnight; Take-Two CEO and Chairman Strauss Zelnick says the company is “incredibly proud of Rockstar Games’ creative achievement and could not be more pleased with the success of this launch.”
Grand Theft Auto V is now available for 360 and PS3.
