Fede Alvarez To Possibly Direct ‘Dante’s Inferno’ Film

Dante’s Inferno may be coming to the silver screen with the help of Evil Dead (2013) director Fede Alvarez.

Dante’s Inferno, the 2010 video game adaptation of Dante Aligheri’s The Divine Comedy: Inferno, is in the process of becoming a feature film. While the script is already in progress by Jay Basu (The Dinosaur Project, Fast Girls), according to Deadline, Evil Dead remake director Fede Alvarez will potentially direct the film. Dante’s Inferno takes a few liberties from The Divine Comedy, as the video game sets Dante Aligheri as a knight during the Crusades; he defeats Death and claims his scythe as a weapon to aide him through the nine circles of Hell on a quest to save Beatrice.
