The next title from Quantic Dream reportedly cost $27 million to produce.
Beyond: Two Souls is a story-driven “psychological action thriller” from the minds of David Cage and Quantic Dream. According to French media outlet Le Figaro, Beyond reportedly cost $27 million to produce; the production cost was funded by Sony. That figure might skyrocket over the next month, as the $27 million only accounts for production, and not the marketing budget; Quantic Dream’s previous title Heavy Rain cost $22 million to produce, but an additional $18 million went towards the marketing campaign.
Beyond: Two Souls features the talents of Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, with music composed by Hans Zimmer. A demo will be available on Oct. 1, with the complete game releasing one week later on Oct. 8.
