The original Seaman was an underground classic for the Sega Dreamcast, and fans have longed for a new installment ever since their last conversation with the titular sarcastic fish Those long-awaited wishes might come true, as not only is the original creator of Seaman working with Nintendo on a new project, but Nintendo has recently registered two trademarks, both of which blatantly point towards a potential Seaman game.“Mysterious Pet: Legend of the Fish With A Human Face” and “Mysterious Partner: Legend of the Fish With A Human Face” have both been registered and trademarked in Japan, and there aren’t many games that easily fit that description. This isn’t the first time a new Seaman has been teased, as a Christmas-themed Seaman picture showed up on Yoot Saito’s Twitter a few years ago; of course, this also showed up during the holidays, and may have just been a fitting reference to Christmas Seaman.
