‘COD: Ghosts’ Story To Be “Within The Realm Of Plausibility”

While the revealed segments of the Ghosts story may seem outlandish, Dan Amrich defends the plot, as it’s “more science than science fiction”.

The newest trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts was released earlier this week; it features some rather bombastic action sequences that would only be possible in sci-fi movies; according to Author and Activision Social Media Manager Dan Amrich, the plot still “plays within the realm of plausibility”. The “Story” trailer for Ghosts features giant cylinders decimating Earth’s surface after being dropped from orbit; as wild as that sounds, this was actually something once discussed by the United States Air Force, under the name “Project Thor”. The conceptualized method of attack would have featured large tungsten cylinders suspended in space, guided to Earth’s surface by a computer and kinetic energy; the impact would result in catastrophic destruction rivaling an atomic bomb, with the “benefit” of zero nuclear fallout or lingering radiation.

…..Still waiting on an explanation for the dog attacking a helicopter pilot in mid-flight.

Call of Duty: Ghosts releases on Nov. 5.
