Next-Gen Added To ‘Mighty No. 9’ and ‘Shantae’ Kickstarter Campaigns

As both Kickstarter campaigns continue to show success, Mighty No. 9 and Shantae: Half-Genie Hero have both added next-gen versions to their goals.

Keiji Inafune’s wildly popular concept of Mighty No. 9 surpassed its funding goal within the first few days of the Kickstarter campaign; Comcept’s campaign is currently sitting just above $2,000,000 with PC, Mac and Linux versions already funded. If the $2,200,000 level is reached, Mighty No. 9 will come to the PS3, 360 and Wii U; a new stretch goal of $3,300,000 was added a few days ago, and if reached, development will begin on Xbox One and PS4 versions. Mighty No. 9 still has 19 days left before its Kickstarter campaign closes.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero by WayForward already features Xbox One and PS4 as potential platforms if the Kickstarter is funded; WayForward also announced that they will be porting their own development engine into the Vita, and will develop PS Vita and PS Vita TV versions not as stretch-goals, but as an additional release once the $400,000 has been raised. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is currently at $242,900 with 22 days left in the Kickstarter campaign.
