‘The Last Of Us’ Multiplayer DLC Coming Oct. 15

The first DLC for The Last of Us arrives this October, with several new multiplayer maps.

Naughty Dog has three DLC planned for The Last of Us, all of which will be included with the Season Pass. The “Abandoned Territories Map Pack” will be the first of the DLC series, and is available starting on Oct. 15: This will add four new maps; the two-level indoor “Bookstore”, the nighttime stealth map “Hometown”, “Suburbs” with “random dynamic dust storms”, and the “overgrown urban environment” of the “Bus Depot”.

A new Single-Player DLC is currently in development, and projected to released sometime within December/January; Naughty Dog has just finished casting for a new character, and motion-capture will begin next week. The Season Pass will feature one more multiplayer DLC, which will arrive during the first half of 2014; those who have the Season Pass will also receive more than 60 different multiplayer masks and hats.

The Abandoned Territories Map Pack will be available as a stand-alone DLC for those who do not purchase the Season Pass; for those interested, it’s currently available for $19.99
