Go on a psychological journey, and get frightened into improving your typing prowess with Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut and Typing of the Dead: Overkill.
Jasper Byrne’s Lone Survivor originally debuted as a PC-exclusive, but an updated version was later released for PS3 and Vita, featuring additional environments, items and endings; as of this morning, Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut is now available for PC owners via Steam. Those who already own the original Lone Survivor can upgrade their copy to the enhanced version; previous save data and currently in-progress games will still be compatible after upgrading. Those without can purchase Director’s Cut as a stand-alone title.
The cult-classic and amazingly laughable Typing of the Dead came to PC’s earlier this week with Typing of the Dead: Overkill. “Typing of” replaces the arcade rail-shooter controls with words that players will have to quickly type in order to “shoot” the undead; as an added bit of humor, guns within the Typing of the Dead counterparts have been replaced by keyboards.
Both Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut and Typing of the Dead: Overkill are on sale as part of the Steam Halloween Sale.
