Bungie’s new sci-fi shooter Destiny has officially been pushed into next September for all platforms; Playstation users with be the first to experience the new title, with a Beta coming sometime in Summer 2014.
According to a post on Bungie’s official website, Destiny will have a worldwide release on Sept. 9, 2014 across PS3, 360, PS4 and Xbox One; the Destiny Beta will arrive first on PS3 and PS4 sometime next Summer, though an official date has not been given, nor has a window been announced for the 360 and Xbox One Beta.
Destiny was announced last year as an entirely new IP from Bungie, former developers of the acclaimed Halo franchise, and will feature competitive and co-op multiplayer, character customization, an emphasis on exploration of vast environments, and “third-person community spaces” where online players can interact with each other and customize their load-outs and equipment.
