The next upgrade for Street Fighter IV lands on consoles in June 2014, with the PC version dropping just a few months later.
Capcom is continuing to release updates for the current chapter of Street Fighter with the upcoming fifth version of SFIV, Ultra Street Fighter IV. Ultra includes re-balanced mechanics based on fan and professional feedback, new costumes, stages, and five new characters; Elena, Rolento, Hugo and Poison will return to the streets along with a mystery character that Capcom claims has never been in a fighting game…Could be an original character, or one from another franchise, as Capcom has done in the past. Those who currently own any iteration of Street Fighter IV will be able to upgrade to Ultra digitally for $14.99; a physical retail version will also be available for $39.99, with a PC version listed at $29.99.
A concrete date was not announced, but USFIV will be available in June for 360 and PS3, with the PC version arriving a little later, in August 2014; a simultaneous release was negated in order to feature USFIV in EVO 2014.
