“G1” Autobots and Decepticons wreak havoc in the streets with the latest gameplay trailer for Transformers: Devastation.

After a slight lull in the Transformers video game saga, E3 2015 marked the announcement of a brand new title based in the Generation One 1980’s Transformers universe. From the team behind Bayonetta, The Legend of Korra and Metal Gear Rising, Platinum Games revealed Transformers: Devastation exclusively through YouTube’s official E3 2015 stream. The title features intense arena-based combat between Transformers icons, backed by the same loud visuals of the original cartoon.

San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2015 brought forth a new gameplay trailer for Transformers: Devastation, this time showing more transformation sequences and special combo moves, and a few brief scenes of city-travel:

Transformers: Devastation involves a war between the Decepticons and Autobots in their mission to prevent Megatron’s “Cyberform” of Earth. Devastation is currently in development for PS3, PS4, 360, Xbox One and PC.
