“China Rising” And “Second Assault” ‘BF4’ DLC Available To “Premium” Members, Patches Delayed

The first non-exclusive DLC for Battlefield 4 is now live, along with an update for the PC version; console-players will have to wait a little longer, as console updates have been delayed again.

Those with Premium memberships- who have been fortunate enough to actually play Battlefield 4– are now able to experience new landscapes from China with the new “China Rising” multiplayer expansion; eager players can purchase Battlefield 4 Premium for an extra $50, which includes several in-game perks and acts as a Season Pass for future DLC packs- everyone else will have to wait another two weeks to obtain “China Rising” on the platform of their choice. “Second Assault” is still an Xbox One-exclusive expansion, but is now available to players without the Premium membership.

Along with the new multiplayer DLC, patches were supposed be administered across all platforms; currently, the only update released today belongs to the PC version, and fixed several performance issues and the “one-shot kill” bug. An update for the PS4 version was scheduled for release today, but has since been delayed due to “some additional testing”, and will release on an unannounced future date; a patch for the One version is scheduled for this week, and will address the same issues as its PS4 counterpart.

PS3 and Xbox 360 patches are still in-progress, but no release dates or scheduled windows have been announced.
