Those who are interested in signing up for the Titanfall Beta should do so immediately, as the closed PC/Xbox One event begins on Valentine’s Day.
Last night, Respawn Entertainment launched a webpage for fans to sign up for the imminent PC and Xbox One Beta for Titanfall; the Xbox 360 version is excluded, as it’s being developed under Bluepoint Games. According to a new trailer, the Beta will indeed go live on the once rumored date of 2/14- this Friday, Valentine’s Day. Those who are accepted into the closed Beta will be notified no later than 11:25pm PT on 2/17, which means there will be an unlucky set of players who will only experience Titanfall for one day, as the Beta will close on 2/18.
Three multiplayer modes will be included: “Attrition”, a team-deathmatch based skirmish; “Hardpoint Domination” for capture-point mode enthusiasts; “Last Titan Standing”, a variant of “Last Man Standing”, where every player begins the match with his/her Titan already in-play- the first team to lose all of their Titans loses. Unlike the Alpha test, invited players are free to stream or capture as much gameplay footage as they choose.
Along with giving players the ability to record their in-game escapades, Respawn and EA have released a new gameplay trailer, highlighting some frantic action that fans will face over the weekend:
While the PC version requires an Origin account to register for the Beta, the Xbox One version does not. Again, the Titanfall Beta will run from 2/14-2/18; registration is open to players regardless of whether or not they have previously pre-ordered Titanfall.
Titanfall releases for PC and Xbox One on 3/11, with the 360 version coming on 3/25.
