Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are saying farewell to the 360 and PS3 versions of DOA5: Last Round with a fan-made Halloween costume pack.
The Dead or Alive franchise is primarily known for three elements- frantic high-speed fighting, character physics, and an immeasurable number of costumes. The final update to DOA5, Last Round alone has over 100 costumes between in-game unlockables and paid-DLC.
Earlier today, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja released a new “Halloween” DLC costume set for Japanese DOA players. As with the Halloween costumes for DOA5 Ultimate, all of the included costumes were created by fans as part of a Japan-exclusive art contest:
A North American release date has not been announced, however the previous DLC costume packs have launched within two weeks of their Japanese date- this case being 10/13. Due to the hardware restraints of the PS3 and 360, the Halloween DLC set will be the final pack of digital content for the last-gen versions of DOA5: Last Round; DLC will continue for both the Xbox One and PS4 versions.
The PC version may not receive the Halloween DLC until a much later date, as Team Ninja is still working on online support.
