The third Valentine sister and brief antagonist of -REVELATOR- finally has a collectible figure now in development.
To the delight of numerous Japanese fighting game fans, the long-running Guilty Gear saga finally received a “new” installment in 2014 with Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. Disregarding the Action/MOBA spin-off Guilty Gear 2: Overture, -SIGN- was the first game in the core saga to feature 3D character models and stages, though it still retains its 2D look thanks to an incredible amount of developmental sorcery; Xrd‘s style was only achieved after the team literally broke Unreal Engine 3. A sequel released the following year, adding five new characters at launch, and a new chapter of the complex story of politics, magic and the “Gear” creatures.
Debuting in 2015’s Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, Jack-O will be the sixth character to receive his or her own collectible. Revealed at Japan’s Wonder Festival 2017 (or “Wonderful Hobby Life For You”) toy and collectible expo, collectible manufacturer Aquamarine is currently developing a 1/7 scale PVC Jack-O statue modeled after her official artwork and Character Select screen pose.
An official release window has not been announced. Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- is available for PC, PS4 and PS3. Arc System Works recently revealed a new stand-alone expansion dated for Spring 2017- Guilty Gear Xrd REV2– which includes two additional characters, Arcade Mode story-elements for the extra DLC characters, and other new features.
