‘Bullet Soul’ Comes To PC This April

The 360-exclusive Bullet Hell Shmup comes to Steam next month, complete with DLC.

From Tachyon Inc. and publisher 5pb, Bullet Soul is one of many Japanese Bullet Hell shooters to make the leap from from the arcade to Xbox Live; Japanese gamers saw a physical limited edition release complete with soundtrack, but North American audiences were limited to the 2016 XBLA version. The title features three playable characters across the original Arcade Mode, a rebalanced “Version B”, a “Boss Rush” and more modes distributed through DLC. Players are subject to Shoot-Em-Up gameplay mechanics similar to Ikaruga and various Shmups from developer Cave, as players must collect “Souls” from destroyed enemies to replenish their own “Soul Gauge” special attack meter.

Earlier today, Bullet Soul publisher 5pb announced that the title would receive a PC version through Steam under publisher and developer Images Inc. The Steam version will include all modes and DLC from the original 360 release, plus Steam Workshop support (Achievements, Trading Cards, Online Leaderboards), partial controller support, and local and online co-op and competitive multiplayer. The system requirements are as follows, courtesy of Steam:
