It’s more action, rivalry and heavy rock from Daisuke Ishiwatari in the opening cinematic for Guilty Gear Xrd REV2.

Chapter 2.5 of the Guilty Gear Xrd saga is almost ready for the public, with the Japanese and North American releases happening just hours apart this May. Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 is a stand-alone expansion of 2016’s Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, complete with all DLC characters thus far, additional characters Answer and Baiken, new story Arcade/Episode Mode cutscenes for previous DLC characters, reworked M.O.M, Online and Training Modes, and a plethora of new adjustments for gameplay balance.

Developer Arc System Works is teasing fans yet again, this time with the release of the new opening movie for Guilty Gear Xrd REV2. As fans have come to expect, the entire roster of Xrd fighters take part in the action, backed by a new track from Guilty Gear Composer and creator Daisuke Ishiwatari.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 will release for the PS4 and PS3 (digital only for PS3) in Japan on 5/25, followed by the North American release on 5/26. The PC version will release through Steam, but has no official release date.
