Crackdown 3 finally wakes from its extended nap with a flashy new gameplay trailer….and Terry Crews.
One of three E3 2014 announcements to fall into the void of silence- the other two being Phantom Dust and Cuphead– Crackdown 3 hasn’t been given a proper showing since the bombastic gameplay demo from three years ago. Sporting an updated neon look and the promise of a fully-destructible city thanks to “cloud computing”, Crackdown 3 seemed to be an impressive return for the action-packed franchise; what followed was three years of near-silence, until its return during Microsoft’s E3 2017 presentation this afternoon.
Crackdown 3 received a flashy new gameplay trailer during Microsoft’s conference, complete with a new look at the title’s campaign, and an eccentric Terry Crews as “Commander Jaxon”.
Viewers with a decent memory and eye for detail may have noticed a lack of large-scale destruction in this afternoon’s trailer; developers from Sumo Digital and members of Microsoft Studios have clarified via Twitter that city-destruction will be limited to the multiplayer mode, and will be shown on a later date.

Crackdown 3 will release for the Xbox One and PC on 11/7, with additional Xbox One X visual enhancements and Xbox Play Anywhere support.
