Over a full year after the release of Street Fighter V, Street Fighter IV is still seeing re-releases, this time with an updated iOS port.
Despite the controversial success of Street Fighter V, its predecessor is still one of the most competitively-active Fighters of the past decade. Spanning four versions- six including the “Arcade Edition 2012” and “Omega” sub-updates- Street Fighter IV saw releases on almost every platform, even phones and tablets with an iOS version in 2010.
Earlier today, Capcom officially released an enhanced version of Street Fighter IV for iOS with Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition. Players have access to 25 characters courtesy of Champion Edition‘s additional fighters -Dudley, Ibuki and Poison- four difficulty tiers, updated visuals and wide-screen support, and MFi-controller support for both single-player and multi-player modes.
Those with compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices may purchase Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition for $6.99 via the Apple App Store/iTunes; a minimum 1.62GB of storage is required for download.
