NieR: Automata fans have just a few days left before the initial pre-order window closes on two collectible figure sets.
Square Enix is bringing the world of NieR: Automata to collectors next year through a series of new Bring Arts figures. First shown earlier this year through New York Comic Con and Japan’s Wonder Festival toy fair, Automata protagonist 2B will be one of the first characters to receive his or her own collectible, currently expected to release next year, alongside October’s 9S and the Machine Life Forms.
Standing at approximately 14.3cm/5.6in tall, Square Enix’s Bring Arts 2B figure is sculpted from PVC with multiple points of articulation, however her outfit is composed of intricately-embroidered fabric to match her in-game default uniform. Apart from the numerous pose options, each figure includes two interchangeable heads with 2B’s mask either on or off, an alternate set of hands and a detachable sword. NieR: Automata‘s protagonist will be sold not as an individual figure, but as part of a 3-piece set; units will also include a YoRha Pod unit and a Machine Life Form, both of which can be posed and displayed alongside 2B. Those who favor the Machine Life Forms or just want to add more to the single unit included with the 2B figure, Square Enix will also release a two-pack of Machine figures, both of which measure roughly 9.2cm/3.6in tall. These PVC collectibles have unique attachments of their own, including the stomach-mounted saw and laser-cannon, sword, and additional arm and leg parts.
The “Bring Arts 2B and Machine Life Form Set” and “Bring Arts Machine Life Form Set” are both currently available to pre-order through Play-Asia, Solaris Japan and AmiAmi for $67.55-$77.99 and $40.58-$62.39 respectively. Both sets are expected to begin shipping in Spring 2018, though Play-Asia will close the first round of pre-orders on 12/14.
NieR: Automata is currently available for PC and PS4.
