‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ Officially Announced, Coming To Next-Gen And PC

Batman: Arkham Knight coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 this October

While it may have been unintentionally leaked, the final chapter of the Arkham saga has been officially announced, and is set to release in October.

After WB Montreal’s Arkham Origins, Rocksteady is back to round out the Batman Arkham saga, with Batman: Arkham Knight. The final game in the series, Arkham Knight takes place in the entiretly of Gotham City, one year after the events of Batman: Arkham City. A new element to the series, the Batmobile will be available as an additional form of transport, and will feature seamless integration into Batman’s other modes of travel; theoretically, the player could use the Grappling Hook from inside the Batmobile to reach a vantage point. As shown in the debut trailer, several of Gotham’s iconic villains will return for one last fight against the Dark Knight himself:

According to GameStop, Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release on October 14, but Polygon states that WB Interactive Entertainment has not officially confirmed that as a concrete release date. Arkham Knight will be available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC; those who pre-order will also get 4 additional Challenge Maps featuring Harley Quinn as a playable character.
