They may still be in their prototype stages, but Square Enix has a few collectible Play Arts Kai figurines for Arkham Knight in production.
Play Arts Kai is Square Enix’s own line of highly detailed figures, featuring characters from across all forms of media; these include the likes of characters from Konami’s Metal Gear Solid characters, the heroes and villains of Zac Snyder’s “Man of Steel”, and several of Marvel’s iconic superheroes. Earlier this year, figures and pre-orders became available for Play Arts Kai representations of Venom Snake, Skull Face and Quiet, from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
The 2015 New York Toy Fair began this past weekend, with the event ending tomorrow, Feb. 17. The event hosts all categories of “toys”, ranging from those aimed at toddlers and very young children, to expensive collectibles for die-hard fans. Square Enix was present at the event to reveal several new collectibles for 2015, including new Play Arts Kai figures for Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight. While each figure is currently “TBD”, fans can see fully-colored representations of Batman, the redesigned Arkham Knight Harley Quinn, and the enigmatic “Arkham Knight” himself:
Prices and release dates have not been announced, though fans may see the three Play Arts Kai Arkham Knight figures sometime around the release window of Batman: Arkham Knight; pre-orders for the Metal Gear Solid V figurines opened a few months after the release of MGSV: Ground Zeroes.
Batman: Arkham Knight closes out the Arkham saga from Rocksteady and WB Games Montreal, and is scheduled to release on 6/2 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
