Under Night In-Birth is a Japanese-exclusive fighting game from the creators of Melty Blood. After a few years, the Fighter is finally coming to North America, courtesy of Aksys Games.
Under Night In-Birth was released as an arcade-exclusive visual novel/fighting game hybrid in Japan. The 2012 title from Melty Blood developer French Bread and co-developer Ecole Software was never released outside of the country, nor was it ported to consoles until now. Earlier this year, Famitsu (via Gematsu) confirmed that In-Birth would release for the PS3 in Japan on July 24th. Along with the recent announcement of a Japanese home-console version, it was revealed at Anime Expo 2014 that the title will also make its long-overdue North American debut in 2015. While details regarding the North American version are slim, the region will receive the updated version- Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late as a PS3 exclusive, courtesy of publisher Aksys Games.
An official release date or window has yet to be revealed; it has not been confirmed if Under Night In-Birth will be localized for any other regions.
