He may be rough around the edges, but the fourth crowdfunded DLC character for Skullgirls Encore has been added to the Endless Beta on PC.
Those who have access to the Skullgirls Endless Beta on PC now have an early opportunity to try their luck with the next DLC character, Beowulf. With the help of generous fans, the chair-wielding wrestler became the fourth planned DLC character for Skullgirls Encore; Squigly, Big Band, Eliza and now Beowulf are all products of an extremely successful crowdfunding campaign held last year.
While Beowulf is playable, it should be noted that the character is still in his development process; several frames of animation are missing, along with a proper Command List and additional “Supers” (QCF+PP seems to be the only one present). Early gameplay footage shows that Beowulf can use his chair as a platform, though that feature has not been added to the Beta at the time of this post.
Beowulf’s own stage- the “NWO Arena”- has also been added to the Endless Beta, though it currently uses a placeholder track for the music.
Skullgirls Encore is available for PC, 360, PS3, and has been confirmed for PS4 and PS Vita. No official release dates have been set for Beowulf, or the final DLC character, Robo-Fortune.
