‘BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend’ Coming To Japan Next Spring

The latest chapter of the BlazBlue saga is getting an upgraded version exclusive to the next-gen consoles and PS3.

What was once considered to be the spiritual successor to Guilty Gear, the BlazBlue franchise debuted in Japanese arcades in 2008. Six years later, the series has received four additional installments in the main series, two handheld spin-offs and a visual novel prequel, an anime and manga series, along with a short-lived radio show.

The most recent chapter of the BlazBlue saga, Chrono Phantasma released as an exclusive title for the PS3 and Vita. According to the upcoming issue of Famitsu (12/18), Arc System Works will release an updated version for the PS3, PS4 and Xbox One in Spring 2015. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend will feature the balance changes found in the “Version 2.0” arcade update, and two new playable characters- “Celica Ayatsuki Mercury” and “Lambda-11/λ No.11″.

While Arc System Works has yet to announce a North American release date, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend will release for the PS3, Xbox One and PS4 on 4/2/15 in Japan.
