The wheel of fate turns on the PS Vita, as BlazBlue: Chronophantasma will release for Sony’s handheld in Japan.
According to Siliconera, the flashy 2D fighter BlazBlue will be coming to the PlayStation Vita with a handheld port of Chronophantasma. The fourth title in the main series, Chronophantasma includes three separate story-lines, and adds the Overdrive and Crush Trigger techniques into the fray; the individual character-stories, Gold Break Burst technique, and Guard Primers have all been removed. Not only will the PS Vita version feature updates from the Arcade version, but Chronophantasma will be able to share any installed DLC with its PS3 counterpart.
BlazBlue: Chronophantasma will release in North America on 3/25 for PS3; while a NA date hasn’t been announced, the PS Vita version will release on 4/24 in Japan. A “Limited Edition” version, featuring a 40-page artbook, Rachael Alucard figurine, soundtrack, move-list poster, and “Special Features” BluRay disk is available for $79.99, and will release on the same day.
BlazBlue is a vibrant, flashy 2D “Fighter” series from developer Arc System Works, creators of the rock-influenced Guilty Gear series; a spin-off multiplayer series exists on the Nintendo DS, under the name BlayzBloo.
