One of Quantic Dream’s early works, the cult classic Indigo Prophecy is getting a remastered edition, scheduled to release tomorrow.
Before the coming-of-age tale of Ellen Page and a ghost-sibling, and the emotional roller-coaster of Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream released Indigo Prophecy, an experimental venture into cinematic gaming. Released as “Fahrenheit” outside of North America, Indigo Prophecy favored quick-time-events (QTE’s) and a Simon Says style interface over traditional controls. Story progression was heavily influenced by the player’s actions, and the adaptive emotions of each character.
With Quantic Dream overseeing the project’s development, Aspyr Media announced that Indigo Prophecy will receive an HD re-release for PC and mobile platforms, featuring upscaled textures and character models for high-resolution displays:
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is the original version, and not the elusive Director’s Cut (rated “AO- Adult’s Only”). According to the official website, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered will release tomorrow– 1/29- for PC (Amazon), Mac and Linux (GameAgent) and iOS (App Store).
