The next Dead or Alive 5 update is coming to consoles this February, however the PC release of Last Round has been pushed into the last week of March.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is the third iteration of Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo’s technical fighting game. The latest update to the gorgeous fighting game series is developed for next-gen platforms, and contains several gameplay adjustments, along with two characters new to the franchise. Apart from the Xbox One and PS4 releases, Last Round will mark the official PC debut of the DOA series.
While Dead or Alive 5: Last Round was originally scheduled to release across all platforms on Feb. 17, a new update on Steam reveals that the PC version will be delayed, with the new release date falling on Mar. 30. As this is the first Dead or Alive title for PC, according to Koei Tecmo, the delay was arranged in order to “provide [players] with the best experience possible”. While the core game modes will be playable, the online modes will remain disabled until a patch is issued “within 3 months of release”.
As an apology to fans, everyone who purchases a copy- regardless of pre-order status- will receive the “Halloween 2013 Set” of 28 costumes for free. The pre-order bonuses remain unaffected; the “Ninja 2015”, “Aloha” and “Beach Party” costume sets will all be available at launch.
Again, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round for PC will release via Steam on 3/30; pre-ordering grants a 10% discount, lowering the price to $35.99.
