Eager fans of the upcoming Arkham finale can check out more details on the Harley Quinn pre-order DLC, courtesy of a new Amazon listing.
Batman: Arkham Knight is Rocksteady’s final chapter of the darker Arkham video game saga. Containing entries from both Rocksteady and WB Games Montreal, the Batman: Arkham series paint a much grittier version of Gotham City and the super-prison Arkham City. Arkham Knight contains many firsts for the saga, as not only is it the first game to take place in Gotham itself, but players can tear up the streets with the Batmobile; Arkham Knight is also the first title in the main 5-game series to receive the “M-Mature” rating from the ESRB.
According to previously released trailers, those who pre-order Batman: Arkham Knight will get to play as Harley Quinn; those who pre-ordered Arkham City could access additional story chapters featuring Catwoman as a playable character, rather than purchasing the content as additional DLC. Earlier today, Amazon updated their store page for Arkham Knight with a new synopsis for the Harley Quinn DLC. While it’s not specified whether or not her content will be integrated, or as a standalone campaign accessed outside of the main story, the listing states that the former psychiatrist is on a mission to save Poison Ivy:
“For the first time in the Arkham series take on the role of Joker’s psychotic side-kick Harley Quinn and wreak havoc inside the Blüdhaven Police Department. With this exclusive Story Pack experience events in the lead-up to Arkham Knight as you infiltrate Blüdhaven to rescue your partner in crime: Poison Ivy. Delve deep into Harley’s demented nature and utilize her devastating baseball bat to smash, crash and bash your way to a friend very much in need.”
The Harley Quinn DLC is available to anyone who pre-orders Batman: Arkham Knight from any location; those who pre-order at GameStop will receive an additional DLC pack containing Red Hood. Batman: Arkham Knight will release for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 6/23: WB Games has since delayed the original release by three weeks.
