‘D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die’ PC Features And Requirements Revealed

Developer Access Games is making a few changes to D4 before it comes to PC, complete with a UI overhaul, graphical options, and additional content included in the base-game.

Hidetaka “Swery65″ Suehiro and Access Games recently announced that D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die is currently in-development for PC. Originally an Xbox One digital-exclusive, D4 follows time-traveling detective David Young on a supernatural murder-mystery, as he attempts to solve his wife’s murder case and undo her death. The eccentric title is currently limited to Season One, however Swery65 and the team at Access Games are “working very hard” towards a “Season Two”.

Late last week, Access Games revealed a list of changes that would be made specifically for the PC version, including a revamped UI, as the Kinect interface is obviously no longer present. Players have the options of enabling/disabling V-sync, dynamic shading, along with the screen resolution; with the proper settings, D4 can also run at 60fps. The PC version will also include all of the DLC from the Xbox One release, free of charge. The complete list of changes is as follows, courtesy of Access Games:

  • Basic controls using Kinect have been entirely removed, and revisions were made so that the entire game can be played solely with the mouse.
  • All DLC from the Xbox One version, including the collaboration outfits/clothing, will be included in the game itself.
  • The user interface has been overhauled as necessary per the above changes.
  • Added settings for the PC version: Screen resolution settings, Windowed/Full Screen mode settings, V-sync ON/OFF setting, dynamic shadowing ON/OFF setting, subtitle language settings (EFIGSPJ)
  • 60 fps is achievable under recommended system specs
  • Faster loading times
  • Removed content made specifically for the Xbox One version
  • Known bug fixes
