Demoniaca: Everlasting Night is just shy of its funding goal, with six days left in its crowdfunding campaign.
Demoniaca: Everlasting Night is a hybrid of both action-adventure and fighting games wrapped in Gothic aesthetic. Developer Mnemosyne Games describes their current project as a “KOF-vania”, playing on both Demoniaca‘s King of Fighters-inspired control scheme, and the exploration aspect of Metroid, Castlevania and other “Metroidvania” titles wedged in-between.
Mnemosyne launched a Kickstarter campaign for Demoniaca earlier this year, however it failed to reach the initial funding goal prior to its April deadline. A new Kickstarter campaign began last month, with the funding goal still set at €15,000/$17,096, with Stretch Goals including additional in-game items and costumes, and PS4 and PS Vita releases. Interested Kickstarter users have the option of contributing a minimum of €5/$6; higher tiers are still available, with rewards including “Standard” and “Uncensored” DRM free versions of Demoniaca, a digital soundtrack, concept art, and the chance to design an NPC (“non-playable character”) or enemy within the final release.
Demoniaca: Everlasting Night is currently sitting at $14,341/$17,096 (€12,583/€15,000); the campaign officially closes at 9am CDT on 6/14. If Demoniaca is funded, Mnemosyne will be looking to release the title for PC in Fall 2017. An official Steam release has been secured through Steam Greenlight.
