Bethesda’s E3 2016 conference opened with the surprising return of the Quake franchise.
Following the return of the classic FPS franchise DOOM, id Software announced a new Quake title during Bethesda’s E3 2016 presentation. Quake Champions will be a PC-exclusive title, engineered to cater to both the competitive veterans and new players. The title will feature characters akin to the “Heroes” of Overwatch, each with his or her own abilities. id Software Director Tim Willits stated that Quake Champions will be just as fast as the original titles, running at 120Hz with an unlocked framerate.
