Uncanny alliances are formed within the latest trailer for Injustice 2.
DC Comics returns to the Fighter genre this Summer with Injustice 2 on the Xbox One and PS4. Co-conceived by DC and Mortal Kombat developer Netherrealm Studios, Injustice follows the bleak fallout of the destruction of Metropolis and the rise of an antagonistic Superman and “The Regime”, an elitist unit of heroes and villains poised on capturing super-powered vigilantes.
As shown by the two “Shattered Alliances” trailers- today’s installment can be seen below- the sequel picks up shortly after the events of Injustice: Gods Among Us; Superman is held captive by Batman and his resistance, while the Regime is recruiting new heroes and villains in their fight to regain totalitarian control and rescue their captive leader. Reverse Flash, Green Arrow and Green Lantern also have brief cameos in the new trailer alongside more Cyborg gameplay.
Injustice 2 will release for the Xbox One and PS4 on 5/16.
