‘BlazBlue: Central Fiction’ Comes To PC Next Week

The latest chapter of the BlazBlue saga comes to Steam in just five days.

The time-looping BlazBlue franchise returned last year with Central Fiction, the fourth core installment in Arc System Works’s Guilty Gear spiritual-successor. Available exclusively for the PS4 and PS3, Central Fiction includes the largest roster of characters in the franchise thus far, including new fighters and cameos from the visual novel spin-offs XBlaze Code: Embryo and Lost: Memories, and companion manga BlazBlue: Remix Heart.

After several months of unconfirmed rumors, Arc System Works and publisher H2 Interactive finally confirmed that a PC version of BlazBlue: Central Fiction would arrive in the near future; as told by the new listing on the Steam marketplace, the “near future” is just five days away- 4/26. The minimum system requirements are as follows, courtesy of Steam:

  • OS: Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 / i7
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: nVidia GeForce 8800 GT or better / AMD Radeon HD3700 / nVidia GeForce GT 650 (Windows 8.1)
  • DirectX: Version 9.0
  • Storage: 52 GB available space
  • Sound Card: Direct Sound

Users do not have an option to pre-purchase the title, but those who buy the game during its launch window will receive a 10% discount and digital copies of the soundtrack and concept art “Memorial Book”; owners of previous BlazBlue titles on Steam (i.e. Calamity Trigger, Continuum Shift, Chronophantasma) will see an additional 10% “loyalty discount” for purchasing the title within a week of its launch.

    • The Steam page has since updated to confirm the discount is for anyone who owns ANY of the previous BB titles. Thanks for the catch!
