The final chapters of the Mega Man “Classic” saga are coming to consoles and PC this Summer.
For seven agonizing years, Mega Man fans have been holding their collective breath in hopes of a proper return for Capcom’s “Super Fighting Robot”; disregarding the compilations, iOS game Rockman Xover and the mobile versions of Mega Man 1-6, the Blue Bomber hasn’t seen a new title since 2010’s Mega Man 10.
It may not be a new adventure for Mega Man, but Capcom revealed a new compilation of the Mega Man “Classic” games earlier this morning. Scheduled to release in early August, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will include the remaining Mega Man titles not released on the NES; Mega Man 7 (SNES), Mega Man 8 (PlayStation), and digital titles Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10. All of the DLC for Mega Man 9 and 10 will be included, featuring the additional Robot Master “Fake Man”, the “Mega Man Killers” stages, and playable antagonists Proto Man and Bass. The Museum from the previous Legacy Collection will return, this time featuring music, concept art and design documents from the four included games.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release for PC, Xbox One and PS4 both digitally and physically for $19.99 on 8/8.
