2B’s partner “Nines” will receive a collectible PVC and stainless steel figure from Square Enix this Fall.

YoRhA unit “No. 9 Type S” serves as the partner character and secondary protagonist of NieR: Automata. A “Scanner” android himself, 9S- or “Nines”- is an expert in hacking, and possess an incredible lust for knowledge; one of NieR: Automata‘s numerous joke-endings mocks this, as “Ending G” sees 9S abandoning YoRhA and 2B to fulfill his passion to study the Machines. Despite his overwhelming sense of dedication towards 2B and a general sense of compassion, 9S is capable of exuding raw hatred and violence, as shown in the closing act of one of his playable storylines.

NieR: Automata publisher Square Enix will commemorate 9S alongside 2B later this year with a special collectible figure expected to release sometime this Fall. Standing at approximately 15cm/5.9in tall, Square’s “YoRhA No. 9 Type S” figure depicts 2B’s partner in his YoRhA-issued black suit; collectible customizaton is limited, however the PVC and stainless steel figure also features Pod 153 as a secondary accent piece.

The YoRhA No. 9 Type S figure from Square Enix is expected to release this Fall, however the official Square Enix Store lists the release window as January 2018. Play-Asia, Solaris Japan, AmiAmi are among the other collectible retailers still accepting pre-orders, ranging between $51-$64.99.

NieR: Automata is currently available for PC and PS4.
