Super Sonico, Muramasa and others are going head to head in a new fighting game from Nitroplus, coming to Japanese arcades next year.
According to the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Nitroplus and Examu are currently developing a new cross-over fighting game involving the Nitroplus franchise. Nitroplus Blasters: Heroine Infinite Duel is currently listed as an arcade-exclusive title, however the game will include characters from various games, manga and anime across the Nitroplus catalog. The Fighter uses a “pairing” system where the player will choose one primary character, and a second one to act as an “assist”; a variant of this mechanic can be found in a previous Examu cross-over Fighter, Aquapazza: AquaPlus Dream Match. Each character combination comes with its own unique combos and special moves.
The following have been confirmed to be playable and assist characters:
Playable Characters:
- Ein (Phantom of Inferno)
- Mora (Vampirdzhija Vjedogonia)
- Muramasa (Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa)
- Super Sonico
- Saber (Fate saga)
Assist Characters:
- Spica (Sumaga “Star Mine Girl”)
- Natsumi Aihara (Hello World)
- Dragon (Dra†KoI)
While it has not been confirmed for consoles, Nitroplus Blasters: Heroine Infinite Duel will be available in Japanese arcades sometime in 2015. Examu is also responsible for the Arcana Heart series.
