Super Sonico and friends are bringing the fight overseas in just a few weeks, with the North American release of Nitroplus Blasterz.
From Examu and Nitroplus (“Nitro+”) comes Nitroplus Blasterz, a 2D assist-based fighting game for Sony consoles. Nitroplus is responsible for many popular visual novels, anime and manga in Japan; some characters- “Super Sonico” for example- have grown to become mascots of the Nitro+ brand and the characters’ own series of products.
With the help of developer Examu, Nitroplus Blasterz is the first fighting game from the Nitro+ brand, pulling in characters from across the anime, manga and video game properties. Earlier this year, it was announced that the console versions would feature two additional cross-over characters through paid-DLC, with “Homura” from Marvelous’s Senran Kagura franchise, and Arcana Heart‘s “Aino Heart”.
Following the recent Japanese console release of Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel, North American gamers will finally get their hands on the title when it launches in just a few weeks under publisher XSEED. While only the PS4 version is currently scheduled for a North American launch, first-print copies/pre-orders will receive the same digital bonuses as the Japanese versions; those who obtain Nitroplus Blasterz at launch will receive both Homura and Aino Heart as free DLC characters. Once the initial free DLC window is over, each character can be purchased individually for $5.99, or bundled together for $9.99.
Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel will release for the PS4 in North America on 2/2.
