The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings brought even the mightiest of gaming PCs to a crawl with its demanding hardware requirements. It looks like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is about to do the same, as the system requirements have been released.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the prequel installment of the award-winning trilogy, and is the first game in the saga developed for next-gen hardware. With its beautiful visuals and landscapes, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was one of the most hardware-demanding titles of its time. Earlier today, developer CD Projekt RED released the official system requirements for the PC version of Wild Hunt. Some PC gamers may need to upgrade their rigs for the optimal experience, as the “Recommended” requirements suggest either an AMD Radeon R9 290 or NVidia GeForce GTX 770 GPU, along with an Intel Core i7 3770 CPU @ 3.4GHz:
