SGC 2015 Registration Now Open

ScrewAttack fans and gamers can now register for SGC 2015, coming to Frisco, TX this July.

What began in February 2006, ScrewAttack has evolved into one of the largest gaming-related news and entertainment websites hosted out of Texas. The ScrewAttack team thrives on interaction with its own fans, with movie-showing events, Twitch broadcasts and competitions with their viewers, and the fan-driven “G1 community” section which provides Top 10’s, news articles and other various features. ScrewAttack is also responsible for the infamous “Colossus Yell” outbreak at MAGFest.

In 2009, ScrewAttack held their first gaming convention in Dallas, TX- SGC. The convention was nowhere to be seen during 2011 and 2012; SGC was revived in 2013 with the help of the G1 community and a very successful Kickstarter campaign. Fans contributed enough money to fund both SGC 2013, and SGC 2014.

Earlier today, early registration officially opened for SGC 2015. A first for the convention, this year’s event will be held in Frisco, TX at the Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco/Hotel, Convention Center & Spa. Past conventions have been held in the heart of downtown Dallas, at the Sheraton Dallas and Hilton Anatole. Tickets begin at $27.76 for a Day Pass (single day), with the three day pass selling for $55.51. A VIP option is available for $194.31, though according to the active Twitch.tv stream right now, this option is limited to 250 units. The VIP “Super Badge” option includes a Weekend Badge (three-day pass), Panel Fast Pass, SGC 2015 messenger bag, shades and a pocket-fan, and free “swag” from ScrewAttack Games. Hotel reservations at the Embassy Suites can be made through the SGC website.

The ScrewAttack Gaming Convention features guests from across the video game industry, including YouTubers and internet personalities, journalists, developers, cosplayers and more; SGC 2014’s guest lineup included the likes of JonTron, Mega64, Brentalfloss, Andre of Black Nerd Comedy, Devolver Digital and Comcept’s Keiji Inafune. The convention is also home to the Iron Man of Gaming tournament; the tournament spans across several different genres over the 3-day convention, with the finalists competing in a “mystery game”.

Again, SGC 2015 will be held in Frisco, TX from July 17-19 at the Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco/Hotel.
