Hot off the release of Chronophantasma Extend, the next chapter of the BlazBlue saga is already underway, with the recently announced BlazBlue: Central Fiction.
BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend may still be fresh in the minds of BlazBlue fans- the title released just two weeks ago in North America- however Arc System Works is already gearing up for the next chapter of the core Fighter franchise. BlazBlue: Central Fiction was recently announced alongside a brand new trailer, though an official release window has not been scheduled. Central Fiction includes an updated visual scheme and HUD, along with two new playable characters- Hibiki Kohaku and Naoto Kurogane.
Excluding the “Extend” games, Central Fiction is the fifth title in the main fighting-game saga. Arcade local testing will be held across various arcades in Japan this weekend. Neither an arcade nor console release date has been issued, however BlazBlue creator Toshimichi Mori previously stated that the next BlazBlue title will release sometime in 2016, with the potential to include new tag-team gameplay mechanics.
