Nintendo’s heavy-hitters are arriving just in time for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Nintendo’s E3 2015 Digital Event may have been overshadowed by the immense negative backlash against the new Metroid titles, however a slew of high profile games filled the rest of the event with anticipation towards the remainder of the year. The E3 broadcast featured new trailers and updates for the likes of Yoshi’s Wooly World, Star Fox Zero, Genei Ibun Roku #FE (“Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem”), and Xenoblade Chronicles X.
In a press release issued this morning, Nintendo detailed their product release schedule for the remainder of the 2015 calendar year. Three of the Wii U’s arguably biggest titles of the year, Star Fox Zero, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water now have official release dates for North America.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will release in North America on Oct. 22, a week prior to the European release. What may come as a disappointment to North American Fatal Frame fans, the title will release exclusively through the eShop for $49.99- the European “Limited Edition” will be exclusive to Europe. The Star Fox franchise reboot from Platinum Games, Star Fox Zero will release on Nov. 22, with Xenoblade Chronicles X arriving roughly two weeks later on Dec. 4; both titles will be available for the standard physical retail price of $59.99.
Nintendo pulled the curtain back on release dates for other products including Devil’s Third, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, and new Amiibo-based game and console bundles. The complete list of confirmed North American dates and prices is as follows:
