‘Mass Effect: Andromeda’ Promises More “Freedom”, Developed In Frostbite Engine

The first footage for the Frostbite-powered Mass Effect: Andromeda has finally arrived.

Following the award-winning science-fiction RPG trilogy from BioWare, Mass Effect: Andromeda will feature a brand new protagonist, set within the depths of a new universe for players to explore. During EA’s “EA Play” E3 2016 conference, BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn revealed a new video featuring behind-the-scenes development footage, and a first look at Andromeda‘s gameplay. The title will utilize Frostbite, the same development engine responsible for the beautiful visuals of Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, Star Wars: Battlefront and the upcoming Battlefield 1. According to Flynn, players will have more “freedom” in regards to character interaction and exploration; Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the largest game of the series in terms of environment and scale thus far.

More details regarding Mass Effect: Andromeda are expected to release this Fall. An official release window has not been scheduled.
