‘Blade Arcus From Shining EX’ Comes To PC This Month

The Shining RPG franchise Fighter is officially coming to North American PCs near the end of July.

From Sega and developer Studio Saizensen, Blade Arcus from Shining is a 2D cross-over fighting game featuring characters from both Shining Blade and Shining Hearts. As with several other modern Japanese fighters, the title initially released through arcades in November 2014, followed by a Sony-exclusive console release approximately one year later. The updated PS4 and PS3 version, Blade Arcus from Shining EX included four additional characters and enhanced gameplay mechanics courtesy of the latest arcade update, along with two console-exclusive characters- one of which was a first-print bonus.

Sega and Studio Saizensen announced earlier this month that Blade Arcus from Shining EX would see a North American release sometime this month, however the localized version now has an official release date of July 28th. Akin to the North American version of Koihime Enbu, Blade Arcus will only release on PC- the PS3 and PS4 versions will remain overseas. Titled “Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena”, the PC version includes all 16 characters (including the pre-order/first-print DLC), local and online multiplayer with leaderboards, and both a Story Mode and individual scenarios inspired by the RPG elements of Shining Blade and Shining Hearts.

The required minimum system specs are listed below courtesy of Steam:

  • OS: Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz or faster processor
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: OpenGL 3.1 compliant video card
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Storage: 4 GB available space
