The latest trailer for the upcoming Switch debut of Zelda showcases the beautiful open-world locations of Breath of the Wild.
Tonight marks the 2nd annual Game Awards event hosted by Geoff Keighley across multiple gaming and online platforms. Prior to the awards ceremony itself, Nintendo’s Bill Trinen was on hand to present the latest gameplay footage for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The upcoming Wii U and Nintendo Switch title places the Hero of Time in the largest open-world environment the series has offered yet; as stated during its initial E3 reveal, Breath of the Wild calls back to the original 1986 Zelda title and its emphasis on player-freedom and open-ended exploration.
Tonight’s trailer highlights more of the locales and inhabitants of Breath of the Wild, and even gives fans a brief tease at a possible “Female Link”.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release next year for both the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
