‘ARMS’ Japanese Trailer Highlights Full Roster, Stages And Modes

The Japanese “Introduction Trailer” is the full crash-course for anyone interested in Nintendo’s new boxing game, ARMS.

Following last week’s ARMS-centric Nintendo Direct, Nintendo’s official Japanese YouTube channel released the new “Introduction Trailer” for the upcoming long-range Fighter. The trailer is presented entirely in Japanese, but potential ARMS competitors can see the full roster of fighters in action, along with new stages and a look at the extra challenge modes:

Apart from the standard offline training and battle options, the trailer showcases the online Party Match feature allowing up to 8 players to participate in rotating 1v1 and 2v2 matches; competitive players can go head-to-head in Ranked Match, though this is only limited to one-on-one fights. ARMS combatants looking for more casual and party-focused modes can enter a 4-player free-for-all match, fight a horde of opponents in One Against 100, improve their technique with Target Shooting, dunk their opponents in Basketball, and lob an explosive ball back and forth in Volleyball.

ARMS will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on 6/16. The “ARMS Global Testpunch” open Beta begins this Friday for North America, with the rest of the world joining the following day.
