Last week’s NeoGAF leak was real, and it’s even better in the debut gameplay trailer.
Watchful NeoGAF users reported on a new Dragonball Z fighting game last week, evidenced by an early Japanese announcement scan. The leak was made reality during Microsoft’s E3 2017 presentation, as Phil Spencer revealed the debut trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ, a brand new fighting game from Arc System Works. Using a “broken” version of Unreal Engine 4 to create the same revolutionary visuals as Guilty Gear Xrd, Dragon Ball FighterZ is the first 2.5D fighting game to have the Saiyans and villains of the Dragonball universe fighting in high-octane battles. Another first for Arc System Works, FighterZ will feature 3-on-3 team battles akin to Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Skullgirls Encore, with characters tagging in-and-out of matches, and stacking multiple super-attacks for incredible damage.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will release in early 2018 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
