After an indefinite delay due to approval processing, “Big Band” was released for the PS3 version of Skullgirls Encore, along with the PC version on Steam. To the surprise of many, DLC for the Xbox 360 version has been released, as Skullgirls Encore for 360 is finally available.
The mechanized musician finally makes his playable debut next week, as Big Band will release for the PS3 version of Skullgirls Encore.
What started as an inside Twitch.TV joke, eventually became an April Fool’s Day prank that was so popular, that fans insisted that it became a permanent feature. That said, the April Fool’s Day character “Fukua” will become a permanent addition to the Skullgirls roster.
The “little fighting game that could”, Skullgirls has been faced with numerous publishing problems since its launch. Through thick and thin, the title continues to persevere, as Skullgirls Encore will finally come to Europe on March 19.
The latest tale from Suda51, involving assassinations, ladies, and the supernatural, will receive an updated PC version this May.
Everyone who purchased a copy of the original Skullgirls will receive a voucher from Sony at some point; distribution began last night, but some fans and Lab Zero staff are still waiting to receive a digital copy of Encore.
